TAS2110: Idle Channel Detection Function

Part Number: TAS2110

Hi Everyone,

Working on a PCB with the PN TAS2110 in parallel of the TAS2110 EVK as an example there are some differences on datasheet mentioning and maybe the I²C monitor on the software PPC.

 Idle Channel Detection Switch

Switching this function on  PPC, we can see the writing configuration on register Page = 0x00 Address = 0x3E.

In this case, we could not find any references of this function on datasheet. There are described only addresses 0x3D and 0x3F.

Is there a restrict acess for this function?

  • Hi Fernando,

You're correct, there are some reserved registers that even if used as part of the device configuration, these are not included in the data sheet. Most of these registers are set using a series of coefficients which makes it easier to set using the GUI instead of manually calculating the required values.

Using the I2C monitor is a good option to make simple I2C changes if needed, however if you want to get all the configuration in a single script, you can always use End System Integration panel.
