TLV320AIC3109EVM-K: solution select

Dear team

The customer evaluate to use TLV320AIC3109EVM-K to replace FM1288 Codec, but they only reserve four lines of I2S signal (no I2S_MCLK) .
Is it OK if the MCLK TI Codec is not connected?

Hi,

Are you referring to the EVM or the codec IC itself? MCLK in EVM can be provided by TAS1020B in the USB-MODEVM board or from external source.

If you are referring to the codec itself then you can leave it open.

Hi,

You can use either MCLK or BCLK, so if you can't provide MCLK then use BCLK in your configuration.
