PCM2906: USB interfce device with 4 analog MIC inputs

we are using PCM2906 usb audio interface chipset and making a usb interface.

we are looking a device where we can interfcae 4 MIC (analog) and the device should have USB output for recording on a PC,

pl suggest if TI has some device,,

we are lookig for a PLUG and play device like : PCM2906

We don't have USB converter devices with 4 analog input, our USB converter only supports 2 analog input.

is it possible to use 2 pcs of PCM2906 ,, and make 4 analog inputs ..

but question is : how to combine 2 USB output into one, and feed to a PC.

Software Audocity , how it will read this USB port, and show up the 4 MIC's in the software

our plan is to make USB codec with 4 Mic inputs

any suggestion, pl guid

Hi,

I don't know if there's a way to combine 2 USB signals into 1.

If you need all 4 inputs of the same USB interface I'm not sure but check MCU.

You can look at TI MCUs if they have the features you need.

We don't have USB converter with that many inputs.

On the Mac, the user can create an aggregate audio device which makes more than one USB audio devices look like just one device to application software.

I don't think Windows has such a feature.

You really need to design your device around a High Speed USB interface if you want to support four microphone inputs.
