SA5534A: SA5534A vs NE5534A

Part Number: SA5534A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: NE5534A, , NE5534, SA5534

Hello,

I wanted to ask about the difference of the parts SA5534A and NE5534A. The only difference that I found when checking the datasheet was that the SA5534A is specified for a larger temperature range compared to the NE5534A. From page 5 of the datasheet:

"All characteristics are measured under open-loop conditions with zero common-mode input voltage, unless otherwise specified. For NE5534 and NE5534A, full range is 0°C to 70°C. For SA5534 and SA5534A, full range is –40°C to 85°C."

Is this the only difference between these parts or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance,

Stephan

  • Hi Stephan,

These parts are all quite similar so I can see the confusion on trying to better understand what distinguishes them. There's a couple of differences between them besides the temperature ranges.

    •  SA5534 is the only that comes in the SO package.
    • The NE5534A and SA5534A have lower input noise current and input noise voltage ratings than the non-A devices as shown below:
