TAS2552: TAS2552-Stuck

Part Number: TAS2552

Hi TI Team,

I encountered a problem when debugging TAS2552. When the sound is adjusted to the maximum, there will be a stuck phenomenon.

At the same time, it is verified that this situation still exists in the TI TAS2552 EVM.

  • Hi,

I'll take a look at this behavior. By "sound adjusted to maximum" you mean the Class-D gain?
Also stuck means the device is not responding to I2C and no sound is coming out? Or it keeps playing the same sample over and over?

    Best regards,

  • I tried both increasing Class-D gain to max and at the same time input sweep up to 0dBFS, the device keeps operating normally. The output is clipping but it's not getting stuck.
If you can share more details about your observations I can try to replicate on my side.

    Best regards,
