LM386: The LM386 does not seem to be included in the TI PSPICE libraries. Why? Where?

Trying to find the PSPICE model for the LM386 but it does not seem to be in the TI PSPICE libraries.

I'm a newbie with TI PSPICE but I have been using LTSPICE for a while. Analog doesn't have many (any?) TI parts in their default libraries so I downloaded TI PSPICE.

But the LM386, which is what I wanted, doesn't seem to be there.

What am I missing?

Hi Hank,

Looking in our repository there is no PSpice model available for LM386, thus it is not included in TI PSpice.
Unfortunately there are no resources available to develop new models.

Here's some information from an old forum entry (10 years ago):

" The LM386 is a 40 year old legacy part...so a model was never created.

There are some third-party models out there..but we DO NOT guarantee the results AT ALL...

Sorry to hear that TI can't create a model for a product that it apparently still makes and sells.

Anyway, the LTSpice model from the link you shared should do the trick. Thanks very much for your help.
