PCM3168A: Tying BCKAD and BCKDA

Part Number: PCM3168A

Good day

I would like to make full use of all ADCs and DACs on the PCM3168A in slave mode. The master in this case can only provide one bit clock and it would be a preference to connect it to both clock pins. Would there be any undesired behaviour if these two pins are tied?

Thanks in advance

  • Hi Gustav,

In general, there is no problem with tying the BCLK pins together. The only thing to watch out for would be reflections between the pins degrading the clock signal, but that can be taken care of with termination resistors if the problem arises.

    Best regards,

    Jeff
