TLV320AIC23B: TLV320AIC23B Sample Rate settings

Part Number: TLV320AIC23B

Hello,

Customer is a little confused by the note under table in 3.3.2.1 regarding the actual sample frequency capability of the TLV320AIC23B. According to this note, it looks like it means  even if he configured 8KHz

sample rate(SR3:SR2:SR1:SR0=0011),  but he could still get to 8.021Khz sample rate?  But the test result is as this: if he would get to 8.021Khz sample rate, he should configure SR3:SR2:SR1:SR0=1011. If  he configured SR3:SR2:SR1:SR0=0011,he gets to 8Khz .That is to say, the configuration should follow this table, it isn't necessary to have notes like this,   so the note at the bottom of the table makes people confused, and  need to confirm it again.

Best regards

Kailyn

  • Hi Kailyn,

The difference is the BOSR bit. Just above the table you shared you should see that the BOSR bit controls different oversampling ratios. This is what results in slightly different sampling frequencies. The note is to provide clarity as to why these odd frequencies are available.

    Best regards,
