PUREPATHCONSOLE: In System Tuning issue

Part Number: PUREPATHCONSOLE
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5825M

Hi Team,

Our customer has encountered a problem using PPC3 on their TAS5825M eval board and a custom PCBA which includes the smart amp (connected via I2C).

When selecting "In System Tuning" and entering the Audio settings, there are some settings and filters that are only applied to one channel, settings like limiters are not being applied to any channels. The customer tried turning off and on the capability to check if it will apply, however, the behavior is unreliable and this was not present when they used the evaluation amp board mounted on the EVM

The PPC3 software version is v3.2.1. TAS5825M v3.1.12. Drivers are updated.

I hope you can help.

Regards,

Marvin

  • Hi Marvin

There's some point we can check.

    1. If all the power supply is stable at customer's board?

    2. If the I2S clock is stable at customer's board? What is the frequency for SCLK and LRCLK?

    3. If the I2C wire that connecting EVM and customer's board can be trusted or not?

    4. Test the I2C line on customer's board, to make sure customer's system won't send out any I2C command to influence the results.

    5.  Remove the Jumper J2 and J3 on the EVM, avoid the I2C address conflict between the EVM and customer's board.
