TAS3251EVM: PEQ register manipulation with I2C & Input sample-rate with Mono 1.1 configuration

Part Number: TAS3251EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS3251, , SRC4392

Hello,

For a series of active 2-way and 3-way speakers I am evaluating the capabilities of the TAS3251 Smart-Amp on a TAS3251EVM board.

Since I need to be able to manipulate the PEQ settings for fine tuning while the speakers are in operation via I2C, i was wondering if this is possible?
I can't find the registers in the register map in PPC3, is there any way to set these registers directly ?

Besides that I am wondering why the sample rates for the 2-way-speaker configuration (Mono 1.1) can't be set to 96kHz or 192 kHz, the SRC4392 should support that if I understand that right ?
Is there a way to support higher sample rates for a two way speaker design ?

Best regards

  • Hi

Via i2c control the board while the speaker is working, i think it is OK.

you can go to Direct i2c, write the command directly like below and execute.(the command in the screenshot is for other device, pls don't care)

TAS3251 can only support max 96khz, so the 192khz can not be used.

About the Mono 1.1, i am afraid that it doesn't support operating with 96khz.

if you go to the stere2.0, some audio mode can support the 96khz.

    thanks.
