TAS5825M: Threshold currents and actions of CBC Warning and CBC Fault

Part Number: TAS5825M

Spec metions just one threshold current value (6.5A) about CBC, but two levels of error report (warning and fault).

What are the threshold current values of CBC warning and CBC fault?

And what are the report actions and protection actions of CBC warning and CBC fault?

  • Hi Axl.

I need to make the following clarification of your questions.

Both the CBC warning and CBC fault threshold values are 6.5A.

    1. If the CBC warning is enable, when the current is above 6.5A and below 7.5A the 0x73 register will report warning and the chip works normally.

    2. If the CBC fault is enable, when the current is above 6.5A the 0x72 will report fault and the chip will shutdown.

  • Hi Wei,

    Thanks for reply.

If I enable CBC warning and CBC fault at the same time

when the current is above 6.5A and below 7.5A

How register and the chip will do?

    Sincerely,

    Axl

  • Hi Axl.

If you enable CBC warning and CBC fault at the same time, when the current is above 6.5A the chip will shutdown, meanwhile the chip will report warning and fault.
