TAS6424-Q1: Channel Overtemperature Shutdown

Part Number: TAS6424-Q1

Hello,

Does Channel Overtemperature Shutdown only disable a single channel when triggered? If so, what temperature does trigger Global Overtemperature Shutdown? Is it measured at anywhere other than the driver? Or, is OTSD(i) for all 4 channels the global OTSD?

  • Oguri-san,

In the electrical characteristics table, the global over temperature shutdown (OTSD) is 160C.  The OTSD for a channel is 175C.  There are 5 thermal sensors.  There is one sensor at each output stage for the channel overtemperature shutdown.  There is another sensor on the die that is used for global shutdown that is not close to the output stage.

Channel shutdown will only shutdown the individual channel at 175C.

Global shutdown sets all channels to Hi-Z.

    Regards,
