PCM2704: DAC on PCM1794+DIR9001

Part Number: PCM2704
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DIR9001, , INA1650, PCM1794, PCM2903C

Hello!

Can you please tell me if this scheme will work?

I'm not sure about the possibility of such a connection between PCM2704 and DIR9001. I'm also interested in pins 23 and 22 from DIR9001. Did I connect them correctly?

Is it possible to use the INA1650 chip for the final signal output from PCM1794?

I want to connect a smartphone to the input via an OTG cable.

 Thank you!

  • Hi, i will take a look at it today or tomorrow and let you know.

  • Hello, The FILT is connected to the charge pump and and values you used for its component looks consistent with datasheet.

I believe it is better to use  one of our CODECs such as PCM2903C that has USB interface and get the analog out from its DAC . But if you want to go from a USB DAC to interface and then another DAC that is your choice, it should work too. The OPAMP recommendation needs to come from the other product line as I suggested before  and they can give you different options/alternatives.

  • Please tell me how to correctly formulate the text of the question about OPAMPThe power supply of the device is one polar (battery 12V).

I do not know much English.

    Thank you!

  • Hello, If you need an alternative IC to replace INA1650 ( as you were asking in your previous post)  then it is better to ask the question from the OPAM experts .

PCM1794 User's guide recommends using OPA2134A , but you can use any comparable opamp. Looking at specs of both amplifiers , INA has slower slew rate  and a little bit worse CMRR but  i think you can use INA1650. Note that you can use either of them with single supply.
