TAS5825M: IBIS data

Part Number: TAS5825M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS6424

Hello,

Our customer look for TAS5825M IBIS data.

How can we get the data?

Regards,

Mochizuki

  • Hi Mochizuki

The IBIS, do you mean "input/output buffer information specification"? I'm afraid we never provided that data before. May I know what is this used for?

  • Hi Shadow,

Our customer try to optimize PCB pattern for I2S and I2C based on IBIS data, we have seen it on some of Audio converter products.

In this case they want to know each Logic pin parametes as L, C and R instead of IBIS data.

    I2S: LRCLK/SCLK/SDIN pins

    I2C: SDA/SCL pins (C=400PF on the datasheet)

  • Hi Mochizuki

Yes, for some device, especially at Auto side, it's clock frequency is very high. For example the SCLK at TAS6424 may up to 256*fs, so the IBIS data seems necessary.

But for consumer side, it's clock rate usually low. For TAS5825, SCLK max frequency only 64*fs. so not that important.

I'm really sorry since this TAS5825 device comes out, we never generate the IBIS data for customer, also no issue about the pin parameters, so we never doing any research about it. Maybe needn't worry too much about this parasitic parameters on the pin.

  • Hi Shadow,

    Thank you for your comment.

I will let the customer knows your suggestion.
