OPA1637: If there have some solutions about the Vout glitch absorption when OPAmp power down?

Part Number: OPA1637
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA1622, INA1620

Are there any audio amplifiers that have the power down absorption and detection feature?

For example, it can even cut off the post circuit and contain the absorbent resistor.

Does the same apply to the General purpose Amplifiers?

  • Hao,

Are you asking if a device such as the OPA1637 can detect and absorb current when powered off? Devices such as the OPA1637, OPA1622, INA1620 have enable, disable or power down features. These are generally used to save on power when the device is not being used for example. The OPA1622 product datasheet does mention that the enable circuit controls the input and output stages when the device is placed in shutdown mode. This limits transients when transitioning to and from this state. These devices are not designed to detect glitches however. The OPA1637 could be powered down which would not allow an audio signal to be passed through the device itself which in turn the audio signal would not be passed through the OPA1637 to downstream devices other than possible resistive or capacitive networks surrounding these devices. Although the signal would be extremely quite if not even impossible to hear if the amplifier stages are turned off.
