TAS5825MEVM: Connection problem

Part Number: TAS5825MEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5825M

Audio team,

Our customer had a working EVM for a number of months, then started to see a problem where PPC would always show Offline, and there is no Connect button available.

They have uninstalled and reinstalled PPC.  One time, this reinstallation fixed the problem.  Then the problem came up again, and the reinstall didn't help.

They replaced the mainboard twice, which didn't fix the problem.

This is with:

v3.2.1

Platform build 306

I2C Master: 3.0.1-alpha.3

TAS5825M: 3.1.12

Windows W10 Pro 10.0.19044 Build 19044

Could this be a driver issue?

What do you recommend they do.

Thanks,

Darren

    thank  you for your question.

usually, below actions are what we done when PPC3 cannot connect rightly.

1.take a try with other PC. To confirm it is board issue or pc issue.

2.when connecting with board, disable unnecessary playback device like speakers, headphones in the sound setting in the PC.

    3. change another USB interface or using a type-c to USB hub to connect the board.

4.update drivers for the PC, like audio, usb related drivers.

    thanks.
