TAS5760MD: TAS5760M Background noise

Part Number: TAS5760MD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5760M

Hello , Ti  Experts:

Our machine has been used before on the TAS5760MD, the machine is OK.

Last year due to the tight chip market,we  purchased a batch of  13 +  TAS5760MD (chip screen printing     P31AQG9T   G4    TAS5760M) .

Performance of batch 13+  was found to be poor with other batches.

The 13+  batch has a large Background noise in  right channel. This problem will not occur if   change back to the latest batch.

Description: We use software to control the TAS5760M, including gain, volume, and so on. Different batches of chip software do not change

The settings are as follows:

0x01,0xFF   //MUTE AMP

0x02,0x1c

0x03,0x00

0x04,0xe5

0x05,0xe5

0x06,0x21

0x01,0xFD  //UNMUTE AMP

Can you help us sort this out.

 Thank you.

  • Hi Liping.

The 13+  batch has a large Background noise in  right channel. This problem will not occur if   change back to the latest batch.

Do you mean the other configurations are the same, just change the chips can solve the problems?

If so, can you use AP to test the ICN(SPK) of two chips, should keep the configurations the same as datasheet.

  • YES, Same software configuration  and  hardware circuit  , just change the chips can solve the problems。I wonder if there are performance differences between this batch of chips and other batches of chips。  Or whether there is a problem with the anti-interference capability of 13+a batch

  • Hi LiPing.

Can you test a few more chips from the problematic batch you mentioned to see if there is the same problem?

If so, can you use AP to test the ICN(SPK) of two chips, should keep the configurations the same as datasheet.

Meanwhile can you provide the test data I mentioned before?

    BR.
