TAS2781: Schematic Design with using ICC function

Part Number: TAS2781

We now use 4 PA drive 4 Speaker core 2boxer. (Each box has 2 core)

For using ICC pin for gain sync purposes, do I short the 4 PA ICC pin or short left speaker 2 PA and right speaker 2 PA respectively?

And about Bus keeper, we need to 20k pull-up resistor to 1.8V?

  • Hi

ICC can only interface 2 amplifiers, and it is used to share gain across two opposite placed speakers in order to keep stereo image.
Are all 4 the same type of speaker? Howe are these located? I would rather suggest to connect ICC pins between 1 left and 1 right amplifiers.

Regarding bus keeper, let me double check as this feature may be available in the device already so you wouldn't need to place external pull-up resistors. I'll get back on this as soon as possible.

  • Hi

Yes.4 speakers are the same type. I will consider your advice.

About bus keeper, please give me your opinion ASAP. Thank you very much!

  • Hi

Regarding bus keeper, this is featured in the device and can be enabled/disabled by controlling TX_KEEPEN bit from Page 0 Register 0x0D. This bit controls bus keeper for both SDOUT and ICC pins.
