TAS2110: EMI Test failed in TAS2110EVM

Hi Dillen,

There are a couple things I'd check:

• Spread Spectrum feature should be enabled by default, I assume you had this enabled, correct?
• Since TAS2110 is a switching Class-D amplifier, you may need to add a low-pass filter at the output for EMI constraints. First option is to use a ferrite+capacitor filter, as described in D/S Table 272 and Figure 50: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tas2110.pdf#page=89&zoom=100,0,472
• If the performance with ferrite filter is still not in compliance with EMI constraints, you may use LC filter instead. You can refer to this tool and appnote, consider TAS2110 as BD modulation:

Customer do enable, and add 10uH+0.68uF LC Filter @3W. Do we have a detailed EMI test report for demo board?

Hi Dillen,

EVM is not usually used for EMI testing, a special board with optical SPDIF interface would be required for that purpose (must consider that cables for both I2S/TDM and I2C switching signals should be avoided for EMI testing). Unfortunately I'm not aware of previous data captured for EMI on TAS2110.
