Hi

OC happened may have many reasons.

can you take a measurement of the output current to confirm whether the instant current will trigger the OC threshold.

can you share me the schematic of circuit.

the inductor of LC filter may also affect the OC, can you share me the inductor spec too.

thank you for your information.

according to your schematic, the inductor value 15uH is enough.

but the satisfaction current of the inductor seems too small.

i am not sure your PVDD voltage, usually we choose Isat which should be larger than 1.414xPVDD/R.

BTW, the connection for woofer seems a little strange. we have the reference circuit for the PBTL mode, please refer below graph.

Thank you for the reply. I am the representive of our engineer.

The two inductors will become as in parallel connection when they are connected in PBTL, the current become twice of the current values. We found that when the amplifier output connects no load at all, it is much easier to have protection, and it showed it is overcurrent protection. It is very strange.

Our circuit reference is CH3, CH4 of EVM kit. At the beginning of our development, we also refered to the PBTL circuit on the manual, that is to short connect two outputs before the inductor, then output from one of the inductor. But we found that it will be easier to have protection.

We bought other 5805 chips from different sources and compared, other 5805 chips are not easy to have protection like the batch we are currently using. Do you have any idea why the batch of 5805 chips have such a faulty?

I have to tell 5805M ic worked successfully when they receive. After receiving 6 months , factory told us this problem.

When you took the whole batch to our factory, you sit there and push us for the testing and payment, we only got the chance to test one of the chips for one minute. Till now we use the chips in mass production and found the faulty, that's why we turned to you for technical support.
