Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1861
Hi,
I'm working on a new design where the PCM1860(1) will be used in a system with a good 3,3V MCLK source. Can I use only that, on SCKI? If so, can I let XI float, or should I ground it?
Thanks,
Børge

You can connect unused XI pin to DGND and select to use only SCKI in pg 0 reg 32.
Thank you Douglas,
This is the PCM1860 (or PCM1861) with hardware control. Does the same apply there? I see the OR gate on the equivalent schematic but wanted to be sure nonetheless.
Thanks,
Børge
Hi
Yes, connecting XI to DGND and providing MCLK to SCKI will work, the IC will source/choose it internally (9.3.9.4.1 of d/s)
