Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5624A, TAS3251
For development of a speaker with integrated power amplifier and DSP capabilities we found 2 solutions by TI as interessting:
- TAS5558+TAS5624A
- TAS3251
Our requirements are:
- ~ 2x 150W into 4Ohm
- BTL design
- power supply +36V DC
- I2S digital audio input stereo
- DSP capabilties for input mixer, speaker EQ, tone control and volume control
Both solutions would basically fullfil our requirements. Of course we will deeply evaluate both solutions.
But as the TAS5558+TAS5624A are rather old design, I would like to know what is TIs recommendation.
- Do you recommend new designs with TAS5558+TAS5624A?
- Are there any plans for End of Life for TAS5558+TAS5624A?
- Any recommendations? What aspects to you see to chooce either TAS5558+TAS5624A or TAS3251
