Hi,

Where can i find, or how to calculate the MCLK voor Eight-Channel Digital PDM Microphone sampling at 44.1kHz?

I would think 256x 44.1kHz = 11.2896MHz

In the application below they sometimes double this frequency if you go above a certain nr of microphones and there is no example for 8 digital inputs.

Hey Grad,

The calculation for the MLCK at a sampling rate of 44.1kHz can be found on Table 7 (titled: Table 7. Supported FSYNC (Multiples or Submultiples of 44.1 kHz) and BCLK Frequencies) of the datasheet and the table 4 of the "Configuring and Operating TLV320ADCx140 as Audio Bus Master" application note.

As for the number of microphones, the TLV320ADC5140 supports up to 8 digital microphone inputs.

Hi,

I see, but that is for BCLK if I understand well. I do not understand why the MLCk doubles by more than one microphone. See picture below from the SBAA382 [Configuring and Operating TLV320ADCx140 as Audio Bus Master]

Hi Grad,

If you look at the short paragraph before this table 6, the MCLK is doubled to allow the use of higher number of dsp blocks or higher level of computation of the dsp in the system.
