in the PPC3, nothing changed when i toggle the bit 7 of 0x3C.
that's why, i am curious about the function of bit 7.

Hey Shubiao,
The difference between a line input and the mic input is the voltage levels. Typically the line input voltage is about 1V and higher than mic input voltage which could be in mV. Hope this answers your question.

for ADC5120, i can't find any changes in PPC3 after this configuration, please help me understand what will be changed if i toggle the bit 7 of 0x3C?

Hi Shubiao,
For Vega family, you would see no difference in mic or line input selection setting. This setting is applicable for Polaris/Q1 family of devices which supports higher voltage swings & DC coupled modes.
