TAS5711: Min/Max values of V_UVP

Part Number: TAS5711

Hi Team,

our customer wants to use the TAS5711 in their design and has a question about the UVLO:

The d/s only states the typical value of V_UVP, see

In their system, the device is used at nominal 8V, so some concerns about the margin to the UVLO with tolerances.

Do we have more details about that a maximum value?

Best Regards
Martin

  • Hi Martin

While the PVDD low to 7.2V will trigger UVLO, and while PVDD up to higher than7.6V, TAS5711 can fully operational. At your customer's system, PVDD 8V is closely to the UVLO threshold, please ensure if your power supply is stable and will not low to threshold.

  • Hi Feeney,

    thanks for the feedback.

Yes, this is the question, and the customer is aware to keep the supply stable. But we would need numbers.
Do we have some more details we can share via e-mail/NDA?

    Best Regards
    Martin

  • Hi Martin

We don't have the data of recommend PVDD, because the PVDD stability is depended on your supply design. While you play with a high output power, the large current demand will cause the PVDD supply ripple, so maybe you can measure the actual PVDD range at your max output power to ensure if it will low to the UVLO threshold.
