TAS5731M: the IC broken when testing under 27.5V PVDD

Part Number: TAS5731M

Hi team

Customer conducted the test that whether TAS5731M can recover form the High PVDD voltage. they set the PVDD to 27.5V which not exceeds the maximum value in datasheet, but after 2mins, the device cannot generates the output PIN1 PIN46 and PIN39 has no output and PIN36 has a 5.5V voltage. test the output stage with the multimeter diode gear, there is no obvious fault issue.

We wait for 2 days and retest the device, there is still no output. but I'm not sure whether customer set the 93.8% duty cycle limit during test.

Does that means the device broken due to the high voltage?

  • hi Joe

the information is less, it is hard to say anything.

if using pvdd at 27.5v, oc might be very easy to trigger.

also, when there is no output, customer need to check what error happened.

according to customer's information, it is hard to say device is broken for what reason.

    thanks.
