Hello,

I want to develop an amplifier board based around the TAS3251 and was wondering if there was a specific start - sequence you have to follow when using this amp.

I would like to use an atmega328p for controlling it, as it seems sufficient for all the tasks needed (storing the DSP coeffs and controlling the I2C bus).

Unlike with the TAS5805, I could not find the sequence in the datasheet.

Sharing Kicad files of the EVM would help a lot too.

We could follow the datasheet chapter 8.3.11 for the power on and off sequence.

Sorry we are not familiar with this kind of PCB file. We usually use Altium software, how about a PDF version?

I can try Altium. Thank you. So there are no registers, that would need to be configured in order for the amp to play i2s?

I'm a little confused by your saying. From datasheet page 64 to page 100 are all the registers in this device. You could set them according to your using. If find any problem, we recommend to use PPC3 software to do the initialization. Usually the default register setting is enough for normal I2S signal input.
