TAS6424E-Q1: TAS6424EQDKQRQ1

Part Number: TAS6424E-Q1

Hi Expert:

Our customer is design TAS6424E-Q1 4channel ,25W with BTL mode they are evaluation thermal performance .

Datasheet showing PVDD idle current = 45mA typ , 90mA max , VBAT idle current = 90mA, 100mA with PVDD=VBAT=14.4V with 4ohm Rload , 1W/ch , total 4W conditions.

May I know how to get the PVDD and VBAT current calculation result for both PVDD and VBAT individually if condition were  PVDD=VBAT=14.4V with 4ohm Rload , 25W/ch , total 100W conditions?

 thank you

  • Hi Roy,

The main current that drives the load, will go through the PVDD pins.  The VBAT is for the analog circuitry and the gate drive circuits.  You can use figure 7-8 in the datasheet to determine the power loss in the device for PVDD only and PVDD+VBAT.  Then take the difference for the power loss for VBAT only.
