What is the EOS of PVDD pin of the TAS2764?
Thanks.
Best regards.

Hi Aylin,
I assume EOS means electrical over stress? the absolute maximum for this pin is 18.5 V.

Arthur
Hi Arthur,
Is 18.5V the energy that the PVDD pin of the device can withstand for a long time or is it an instantaneous value?
Thanks.
What customer want to know is the instantaneous anti-surge capability of PVDD pin.
Aylin
Hi Aylin,
any duration of exposure over the absolute maximum will put the PVDD pin at risk for damage. We cannot say for certain if it will survive if it experiences a transient higher than 18.5V
We recommend to set the PVDD to 16V, this will leave 2.5V of headroom if there is a momentary surge. if the supply is reaching peaks higher than 18.5 volts you can use a Zener diode to clamp the PVDD <18.5V.

Arthur
