DSD1608 Support the McBSP?

Hi,

I'm new on audio device, and tryng to add to a beagleboard tree audio output.

Beagleboard have a McBSP on expansion port, but in the DSD1608 I see more than one data in (seems a McASP),

can I connect a DSD1608 to with a McBSP? Or if exists a multiple (better) or a single (that I can combine) channel DAC

with DSD1608 performance like?

The only that I have found is TLV320DAC23, but seems not good for a DVD player like application.

Hi,

would be perfect! But I not understood how to connect more than one DAC in cascade.

In some example McBSP:

- FRX is connected to FS

- CLKX to SCLK

- DX to DIN

- DR to DOUT

now all same connection for second device, except for FS, that is connected to FSD of first DAC device.

For PCM5100 (I don't know if it support McBSP, I don't find notice on Datasheet. It's sufficient I2S?):

- FRS to LRCIN

- CLKX to BCLK

- DX to DIN

But if I would connect another two device? (consider that I should connect all DAC device in the same McBSP)

Cristian,

Attached is a TI application note for McBSP to I2S operation, which is supported. So the I2S ports of the PCM5100 devices should support McBSP. Please let me know if there are more questions.
