TPA2011D1: 300kHz oscillations on output

Part Number: TPA2011D1

Hello TI,

There are oscillations observed on output of power amp around 300kHz measured by oscilloscope and then with NF probe using spectrum analyser, to be sure there is no parasitic circuit added to the output of amp.

Any idea why?

Reading the thread e2e.ti.com/.../tpa2011d1-output-oscillating-badly where observed same phenomena and telling about an LPF on output for measuring, does not reveal why oscillation actually occurs. Unfortunately the link to the video is dead e2e.ti.com/.../97360.aspx

If this video is revealing why oscillation occurs, then I would like to watch it with appreciations.

Thanks.

Best regards

  • Hi Kirill,

This sounds like normal behavior.  What you are observing is the switching freq of the class D amplifier.  The output has a filter to bring most of the higher harmonics out, but not all. If you want to filter it out more, you can possibly change out your filter.
