TAS6424MS-Q1: Spread spectrum supported or not?

Hi team,

My customer is asking if TAS6424MS-Q1 supports spread spectrum.

I can see it supports on TAS6424E-Q1; however, i cannot find it on MS datasheet (slose66).

Can you look into it?

Ther TAS6424MS does not support spread spectrum. The TAS6424E-Q1 has spread spectrum and other updates to improve the EMI. I suggest all new designs should use the TAS6424E-Q1.

The datasheet of TAS6424MS suggests "CISPR25-L5 EMC" compliance.

Can you let me know what features are included in TAS6424MS to improve the EMC performance? (except for the high pwm frequency.)

Luke,

The TAS6424MS states CIPSR25-L5 compliance. This is based on our testing with a proper PCB layout. A properly designed IC will have reduced EMI.

The TAS6424E-Q1 provides additional controls to meet EMC standards that are more stringent than CIPSR25-L5.
