PCM5122EVM-U: pop noise occur when power up, input I2S, exit or enter standby mode

Hi Anderson,

 When XMST is activated the device is muted and in theory it should not have pop noise. Can you send us the clks along with XMTS  and output  waveforms.

What is the load you have?

Hi Arash,

I just use the AP I2S output to the DAC, and the DAC connect no load, just input to AP.

it should be very easy to replicate if you have a PCM5122EVM.

Just to confirm, are you hearing the pop noise while the XMST pin is tied to ground? Could you supply the clocks as you are using along with XMTS waveform and output waveforms that Arash mentioned?

I'm not able to provide the waveform right now, because the EVM have sent to customer side and I don't have it now. my experiment implement on the PCM5122EVM board just use the AP to record the DAC output, can you try to replicate from your side with EVM and AP equipment?

yes, I'm able to hear the pop noise at customer board which the DAC output is connect to a AUX in of a speaker box.

Hi Anderson,

I am not seeing a pop noise on my end. I have the XSMT pin tied to down and then power up the PCM5122 device by shorting the W4 pin. I have no pop noise at that point. I then send in the sound data and do not get a pop noise then either. Am I setting up your experiment correctly? Are there any other details to your setup?
