Hi MPA team,
My customer pointed out that the below description from the datasheet seems to be a typo. (repeating "Halt I2S clock.")
Can you confirm?

Thanks for your comment. An additional question from the customer.
Is it necessary to change MODE before stopping I2S in this process?
- Is it possible to change the MODE even if it is still in PLAY?
- Is there any specification of MODE (Device State) during the change?
Shutdown Mode/ Deep Sleep Mode/ Sleep Mode/ Output Hiz Mode/ Play Mode
the mode you mentioned here is changing the PWM phase?
for halting i2s is necessary, so the mode can not be change before stopping i2s, during playing, sleep or any other mode.
once halting i2s, device will go to hiz mode.
but go to hiz mode use command without halting i2s will not work.
>once halting i2s, device will go to hiz mode.
Is this a protection function?
If it was a protection function, the protection function would be activated at every startup. Is that a correct way to use it?
it fine to stop I2S during PLAY MODE (silence) and force it to shift to Hiz mode?
"halting i2s, then go to hiz mode" is a kind of protection mechanism.
except that, it can also be used to sync the internal clock.
in this multi phase sync, halting i2s to make sure the internal clock sync so that output pwm can by sync as request.
yes, it has no problem.
