TAS5731M: no sound after -15 degree turn on, and it will work fine after restart

i am not very understanding your -15 degree meaning.

according to your description, it seems like your i2s clk is unstable.

can you check does the clock is stable or not?

also, we have an initialization sequence in the datasheet, have you follow the Figure 4: Reset Timing?

-15℃ is room temperature.

The customer can make sue that the clock is stable, MCLK is 11.29M and SCLK is 44.1K, regardless of the sound clock frequency. Reset Timing is also correct.

Also a new finding, when the MCLK is 12.28M at power up, no audio will be played at this time. Once you enter the APK that plays audio, it will settle to 11.29M. Will this be an issue?

Both I2S and timing are OK. Could you help tell what exactly does the PWM output waveform refer to?

I think the I2S waveforms have no problem.

If the fault is occurred, there will not be PWM.

Yes, there is no problem with I2S, but it is strange that a register value error occurs and no sound is output.

Do you measure output waveforms?

And when it occurs to failure when -15°, if you write registers and measure I2S/output waveforms immediately?

Hi Donny,

When the firmware detects an error in the value of a register, it resets the chip and then writes the register again. Sometimes the fix is successful, sometimes the error will still occur, the I2S and normal I2S at the time of the error are not abnormal, and the frequency is consistent and correct. But the output on error has no waveform.
