PCM1820: PCM1820 EVM issue

Part Number: PCM1820

Dear Team,

We’re testing the PCM1820 EVM via Audio Precision.

First of all, setting the EVM to line-in, and remove the J14, J15, J16, J12, J21 and J11

Sending a 1KHz input differential signal from J1, and measure from IN1P as below.

Then measure from SDOUT but without any signal as below.

It seems the BCLK FSYNC and MCLK are without any signal, could you please let me know, how to set the EVM jumper, then I can get the output data correctly?

Many Thanks,

Jimmy

  • Hi Jimmy,

Your pin configurations of MD0 (low),MD1 (low), FTM0 (high), & MSZ (low) put the device in slave mode. The device needs a system clock to run in this operating mode, so please provide a BCLK or MCLK and FSYNC to device and let me know if this solves your problem.
