Can the device be used with word lengths less than 16 bit (down to 8)? Ik want to use the device in I2S mode with a number of different word lengths and sample rates.

    Hi Bert,

    According to DS, The audio data word length may be up to 24 bits for I 2S and left justified formats, while the right justified format supports 16-, 18-, 20-, or 24-bit data. 

    Refer to  table 2 ( Input Port Data Format Selection) to set it to I2S format.
