Can DC coupling be used for TPA3100D2 input?
Thanks

Is it possible without these capacitors? Plan to DC couple the DAC output to this chip
Hi Applo
It's not supported. The capacitor not only used to block DC, device TPA3100 need to set up it's own DC bias during star up on these capacitors. Without the capacitor, the device can't work normally.
Since there is no TINA model of TPA3100D2, I used TPA3110D2 instead. I found that DC coupling also works. Can you help explain it? In addition, what is the difference between TPA3100D2 and TPA3110D2? Can TPA3110D2 replace TPA3100D2?
Thanks!
Hi Applo
I'm afraid the model can't exhibit all the details of the device.
Please search Input Capacitor in the datasheet, there's description about it to introduce the function and how you choose the value. I'm afraid there's no description about not using it.
Is there a DEMO board that can be verified? During simulation, LINP/N has a DC bias, where LINP=1.25V and LINN=1.5V.
Thanks!!!
Hi Applo
Simulation model may be only ampifier, it may not include all features.
The input DC bias is VREG/2, VREG variation is 3.75 ~ 4.25V.
Please check the hardware on device. I have no EVM board in hands. You can apply one board to check.
