TLV320AIC33: Problem with codec's MONO_LOP output

Part Number: TLV320AIC33
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2564MODN,

I'm working with the TLV320AIC33 codec and using I2S as the Audio Serial Data Interface. The codec is configured as the master, and on the other side, there's a CC2564modn Bluetooth device. The audio generated by the codec is being heard through the Bluetooth headphones, but when I speak into the headphone's microphone, I'm not seeing a clean audio signal at the MONO_LOP output of the codec, despite adjusting the DAC_L1 to MONO_LOP/M and MONO_LOP/M Output Level Control Registers. I'm not using LEFT_LOP and RIGHT_LOP in the project; only the MONO_LOP output is used. How can I solve this issue?

Thank you in advance.

Furkan,

  • Hi,

How do you connect your headphone microphone and how are they routed into the codec?

Since audio is good on mono output tells me the DAC configuration is ok only when the microphone input is provided the output is distorted, so you need to first check if the mic input is good on the ADC or bypass path by itself and then your path of interest either mixing in output or digital loopback.

    Regards.
