Hello,
Does the TLV320AIC34 chip require external half rail bias on the microphone analogue inputs such as LINE1LP_A and LINE1LM_A to ensure symmetrical signals are between -0.3V and 3.3V?
The reason I ask is that for example LINE1LP_A has a minimum voltage of -0.3V w.r.t. Vss, then later on in the datasheet recommends a differential signal excitation of 1.414Vrms, which would produce single ended signals that go below -0.3V. but yet I see no other example of this chip with analogue input biasing (except for powering mics) in the datasheet or any other examples I have spotted.
Best regards
Henry Frankland
Hi,
Yes. If you are using microphone which requires biasing like an ECM, then you need MICBIAS.
You can see an example in the EVM schematic.
Regards.
