TAS5828M: Multi TAS5828 in parallel

Part Number: TAS5828M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5805

Hi, Team,

Customer want to know If we use TAS5828+TAS5805 in parallel.  Are there any differences between these connection methods?

1. The same SDIN is given to 5805 and 5828

2. SDIN is given to 5805. 5805 post SDOUT is given to 5828.

Which one is better?

  • Hello Dillen,

Using the post SDOUT will use any DSP processing done on the TAS5805 for that output assuming you are using a 2.1 Process flow. I think using the same SDIN would be better as TAS5828 has more DSP processing capabilities and would allow you to configure the DSP and different processing independently on each device rather than having an already processed coming into the TAS5828.

    best regards,
    Luis
