Part Number: NE5532A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: NE5534A, OPA1677, OPA134

Hello,

According to sales team's information, NE5532A/NE5534A include G4 and E4 devices are going to EOL caused by FAB matter.

Could you suggest us TI replacement device for those amps?

Key spec are Vn=5nV/rtHz, GBW=10MHz, SR=9V/us and web price= $0.11@1ku

Which GP-amps can offer better characteristics with better pricing for our customers?

Regards,

Mochizuki

  • Hello Mochizuki,

The NE5534A is being redesigned to accommodate improved specs. It would maintain the same part number once renewed and no substitutes would be needed at this time.

    Regards,

    Ore.

  • Hello Ore,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

That is good news, still competitive valuable historical op-amp can be survived difficult situation.

We are looking forward to seeing updated low-noise great sound characteristics Better version OP-amp.

Here are some of additional questions.

    1. NE5532A will take this renewal plan together with NE5534A?
    2. Those devices are currently "Last buy status", however it is not going to EOL. How long should we expect to use current version amps to decide "Last Buy" P/O quantity this moment?

    Regards,

    Mochizuki

  • Hello Mochi,

The NE5532A is the only one getting updated, you should reference the PCN doc 20231114002, while the NE5534A would be available up until the last date to order listed on the PDN doc 20231024000.

    Regards,

    Ore.

  • Hi Ore,

    Thank you for your information.

According to the PCNs, those two family OP-amps take different story.

2ch NE5532A was converted to 300mm wafer, 1ch NE5532A is going to EOL and suggested replacement is "FET input" OPA1677 and OPA134.

Is this meaning that no longer available "1ch external compensation bipolar low noise amp" with $0.1 range web pricing?

    Regards,

    Mochizuki

  • Hey Mochi,

Yes, the 2ch NE5532A is being updated to the 300mm wafer like the PCN doc mentions but the 1ch NE5534AD/ADR/AP is going to EOL on the Last date to order mentioned in the PDN doc. And yes, the recommended replacements are the OPA1677 and OPA134.

Hope this clears up your questions.

    Regards,

    Ore.
