TPA3250: CLIP INDICATION IN TPA3250

Part Number: TPA3250

Hello team.

We are using TPA3250 Class D IC for our application, during the testing we have noticed the CLIP INDICATION is a PWM signal.

As the output voltage we increase the the PWM of the CLIP is starting to reduce its duty cycle,

Whether the CLIP will at completely LOW when CLASS D IC reaches junction temperature of 125 degree?

We require your value inputs for the above query

Thanks

  • Hi PAVAN

We are talking about CLIP_OTW pin, right? What is the frequency of this PWM you observed? The audio signal we tested, has very large power changing among it?

If the IC junction temperature reach 125C, the CLIP_OTW should be completely low, until the temperature drops.
