TLV320DAC3120: TLV320DAC3120 speaker output EME testing

Hi All,

Would like to know about speaker output pins of DAC(TLV320DAC3120). Here is our schematic picture.

Could anyone please let me know the correct values of that ferrite(E18 & E19) and cap(C74 & C137) values.

Let us know if you have any layout constraints for these lines.

    Hi Samson,

    Some things to consider are listed below:

    • Place the output filter close to the IC, so that the filtered signal is the one that travels most of the distance to the speaker connector.
    • Trace width to the filter components should only be as wide as the filter pad footprints, don't use larger traces than required before the filter.
    • There's no requirement in terms of trace impedance, however you should keep the traces as symmetric as possible, so they match to each other.

    There's no specific document other than that provided in data sheet.
