PCM2903EVM-U: How can I see if the switches are High or Low?

Part Number: PCM2903EVM-U

The PCM2903EVM-U board has 3 switches. From the manual:

" Switch Settings
SW001: Human interface device (HID) key state (mute)
SW002: HID key state (volume up)
SW003: HID key state (volume down)
These switches must be set to LOW logic level when no HID is being used, or toggled HIGH for HID
control of their respective parameters. "

But how do I determine if I have set them to High or Low. There are no markings on the board or on the switches themselves. And no indications in the User's Guide.

  • Hi Henrik,

Sorry that the switches aren't clearly described. If the switch is pointing towards the edge of the board (away from the device) this puts the HID pin in a high state. If the switch is pointed towards the device, the HID pin becomes floating. The idea is that toggling the switch allows you to repeatedly trigger the HID function.

    Best regards,
    Jeff McPherson
