TPA2011D1: Can TPA2011D1 drive two 1W 8 ohm speakers?

Part Number: TPA2011D1

Hi experts,

    From the datasheet, TPA2011D1 is a mono device. Customer wonders if they do not distinguish between left and right sound channels, can they use TPA2011D1 drive two 1W 8 ohm speakers?

    If not, could you pls help recommend a suitable device? Thanks!

    Hi Skylar,

    TPA2011D1 is analog input amplifier, so it'll just play whatever signal it has at the input, right or left are not applicable in this case.
    Driving 2 speakers in parallel is essentially driving a load of half of the impedance, in this case 4Ω is still supported so it should be OK. The same signal will be output from both speakers.
