TLV320AIC3111: Setting Attack and Decay Time in AGC

Part Number: TLV320AIC3111

Hello,

I am trying to set up an AGC on the TLV320AIC3111. I am looking at an example from the SLAA446 application note on setting it up. The example found in section 1.4 number 2 (see below), they are saying to set the attack time to 20 ms and the decay time to 500 ms.

However, the I2C write in the example says the attack time is set to 0x08 and the decay time is set to 0x32. The datasheet for the attack time and decay time registers do not match up with these examples (see below). According to the register information, setting the attack time register to 0x08 would set the attack time to 3 * (32/fs), which would be 2.2 ms with a sample rate of 44.1 kHz. Setting the decay time register to 0x32 would set the decay time to 13 * (512/fs) * 4, which would be 600 ms with a sample rate of 44.1 kHz.

Is there something that I am missing?
