TAS5352A: Set up method to measure sinewave

Hi Team,

May I check with you what is the setup or method to measure or see a analog sinewave on oscilloscope at the output of TAS5352a when we play a 1KHz wave file.

My customer have tried LC and RC, both output is not a analog sinewave.

Please kindly advise.

What is the waveform we tested out? If there's no waveform at all, perhaps the device haven't successfully start working.

Hi Shadow,

Thanks again for your help. May I check with you if the LC and RC suppose to show a analog sinewave? Is there any guide on doing a proper set up to measure the analog sinewave?

Hi Shadow,

Customer had read through this AN, they followed the RC value recommended, but the signal on the scope is note, they are expecting PWM modulation waveform.

They even use one of the LR, LR low pass filter that they build and use it to measure other PWM amplifier before, still not working.. Is there any advise?

Usually it's not so hard to test the PWM waveform, simply put the voltage probe of oscilloscope at the device OUT pin, should able to find it. And needn't to add RC or LR filter. Maybe we should firstly check if the device have successfully start working, are we certain about this point right now?

We'll need to check their schematic first, if same as datasheet recommended. Then check all the power supply and RESET pin status. Next is to check the SD and OTW pin to see if any FAULT been reported. Make sure all of these is no problem, then check the output waveform.
