Hi,
I would like to have the PCM2704C recognized as a speaker on an Android tablet. Is it possible to do this by writing it in EEPROM?
Best regards,
Kazuaki

Hi Koshiyama-san,
Yes an EEPROM can be used as external ROM to change the device descriptors. See the steps in Section 9.3.7 of the datasheet.

Dear Jeff-san,
Hello. Thank you for your reply.
What value should I change in the 57 bytes in order for the Android OS to recognize speaker mode?
Best regards,
Kazuaki.
Hi Koshiyama-san,
Unfortunately we are not experts on Android OS and what the correct bytes would be. You would need to look in the documentation/support of Android OS. However once you have the bytes you need and have issues programming, then you can come back to TI for assistance.
Thank you,
Jeff McPherson
