LM48511: Amplifiers 1.3W to 5W

Hi,

I have a CPU board which can deliver 1.3W watt into 8Ohm Speaker as differential. (1.3W is not enough for my system)

I have 4Ohm 5Watt speaker at the other hand.

Could you help me which amplifier should i use to drive this speaker with that CPU?

I have 5V power supply by the way.

Hi Cevdet,

Are you open to use digital input amplifiers? We have a wider variety of boosted amplifiers with digital input.
For analog input LM48511 is the highest power device.

Hi Ivan,

No. I cannot use another digital input amplifier. I need only amplify 1.3W to 4-5W as analog.

In case using LM4851 can i achieve this by adjusting input resistors ? ( RF / RIN)

Understood on the digital input options.

Yes, you can adjust input and feedback resistors to adjust the gain. You can refer to R5, R6, R7 and R8 from data sheet section 7.2 or 8.2, and there's further details on these components in section 8.2.2.3: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm48511.pdf#page=16&zoom=100,0,374
